8th HK Bowling Tournament for All cum 7th HK Blind Bowling Tournament

Dear DG HW Fung, District Officers, Club Presidents and Fellow Rotarians,

 

I am delighted to inform you that The 8th Hong Kong Bowling Tournament For All Cum The 7th Hong Kong Blind Bowling Tournament will be held on Jan 21, 2018. I am very honour to take up the lead of this meaningful & charity event again since 2012. Let me brief you a little bit about this tournament as below.

 

Sponsored by the Labour & Welfare Bureau, this event is organized by the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation (HKBSF) and co-organized by Rotary International District 3450, its main objectives are to raise the self-confidence of people with visual impairment through equal participation in sports training and sports tournament and to arouse the public awareness on their abilities.

 

We are honour to have the following guests to officiate the opening ceremony and prize presentation ceremony:

Time: 10:00a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (All participants should report to the organizer at the Bowling Centre at 10:00 am)
Venue: South China Athletic Association Bowling Centre (南華體育會保齡球館)

88 Caroline Hill Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

 

How to participate:

All participating teams may be formed by any Rotary Clubs of Rotary International District 3450. Each team comprises 4 bowlers. One must be a visually impaired bowler to be provided by HKBSF, the other three may be from Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs and/or other Corporate supporters. For example: Each Team =  2 Rotarians + 1 New Generation + 1 Visually Impaired Bowler (provided by HKBSF).

 

Registration Fee:

Registration fee is HK$2,400.- per team. Please send the completed registration form by mail or by hand together with a cheque made payable to “Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation” to the Hong Kong Blind Sports Federation at Block A3, 10th Floor, Yee Lim Industrial Centre, 2-28.Kwai Lok Street, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong.

In order to motivate more Rotary Clubs to participate this charity event, we add 3 Prizes for Rotary Club Team (Champion, 1st Runner Up & 2nd Runner Up).

As I remember that there were  over 250 Rotarians, Rotaractors, Guests and Volunteers with 47 teams attended this event in 2017, let’s join together to break this record again! Entries are subject to first come first serve basis.
